Based in San Fransisco, Mary Ann is an accomplished Executive/Leadership Coach, facilitator and team mobiliser, primarily in the life science field and high tech industries. Her coaching clients include Vice Presidents, Directors and Senior Managers in start-up, emerging, mid-size and Fortune 500 companies. Mary Ann has a unique ability to listen deeply to her client’s concerns, clearly identify their strengths, and compassionately speak to what limits their performance. Once clients have clarified and mutually agreed upon their objectives and metrics for success, Mary Ann works in partnership with them, their manager/s and relevant stakeholders to achieve exceptional results.
The foundation for Mary Ann’s work includes Commitment-based Management (CbM) (listening collaboratively and managing with accountability) and Executive/Leadership Presence (improving one’s ability to influence, engage and lead others while being responsive to change), so that clients can articulate bigger possibilities and deliver on them.
Prior to starting her own business in 2003, Mary Ann’s corporate experience includes a successful 17-year career in sales, marketing and product management in the life sciences industry. She has worked with teams of scientists and engineers to develop and manage technical product lines. As a strategic account manager in a $3.4B asset management company, Mary Ann was recognized as the top performer in the country for the life science division, exceeding her quota by $10M.
In 2007, she co-founded The Stratam Group, and continues to work with Stratam and other consulting firms on large-scale projects. Mary Ann also established the Biotech Organizational Learning and Development (BOLD) group and led the 90 + member organization for 12 years, up until December 2015.
