Business Challenge

Remondis initially engaged Resource Advisory to build its capacity in Municipal Tendering throughout Australia. Remondis is the world's fourth largest family-owned environmental services company, with operations in Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. They are leaders in Alternative Waste and Water Treatment solutions, and in 2007, when we commenced work, were under-represented in the Municipal Waste market.

Resource Advisory's engagement was involved the development of Municipal Tender Submissions, guiding and enhancing relationship management, and coaching internal staff through the framework for ongoing submissions. Our long-term association with Remondis (over 3 years) saw activity extend to commercial marketing, commercial tender development, education activity and business development.

Services, Solution and Strategy

Resource Advisory undertook the following activity:

Municipal Tender Development

We designed and authored several tender documents for Remondis, re-shaping the document approach and design for emerging market needs.

Commercial Marketing Collateral

We re-branded all Commercial Marketing material for Remondis, developing the Corporate Profile, State Profiles and other collateral to support the sales force.

Educational Material

We authored and developed an educational package for a Commercial Tender that enhanced recycling and resource recovery capacity for NSW Schools and Institutions.

Sales Coaching

We worked on an ongoing basis with the Commercial Sales Force to coach and support their learning and development in relation to sales skills and commercial tender development.

Carbon Audit

We engaged the Senior Leadership Team and CEO to undertake an organisation-wide carbon audit to further mitigate the organisation's ecological impact.

Organisational DVD

We scripted and managed the Remondis Corporate DVD production, 5 minutes of footage designed to inform new and existing customers on the breadth of service.

Outcome/Results

Remondis expanded its operations from the East Coast of Australia to Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, and New Zealand during our working partnership. During the GFC, Remondis' financial performance was strong, reporting increased EBIT year on year, despite the weakened economy. The tools and materials have enhanced the capacity of the sales force to win new clients and to maintain sales performance in the increasingly competitive market. Resource Advisory built the capacity of the marketing staff within Remondis, who now sustain and manage marketing and communications internally.
